Here is a 1976 Rowe / AMI Jukebox Model R80 Fleetwood.
It was sitting in front of someone's house for FREE. SCORE !!!
The only problem is, it's not working, It powers up, lights come
on but the record selection unit doesn't work. The selector did
work a little , but was very sticky , so that multiple buttons
would stay depressed at the same time. There was also a loud
hum when It was powered up. And after I kept pressing the on
and off button something broke. Selector stopped working and
now no hum.
I have ordered a repair manual and a new key and a new
lock for cash box and when the manual comes in I will
attempt to get it working. I know nothing about jukeboxes so
I'm hoping some people more qualified than myself will
comment and help me through this. It definitely needs a
good cleaning so I will start there. Next post - Cleaning
